Washington fire, EMS reviewing protocols after firefighters appear with Obama
Fri Feb 22, 2013
Does your employer know you are commenting here? Do they approve of your comments? If not, you are doing the same thing these firefighters have done.

Stop the pop-over ads please! I can't read the article.
Horse slaughtering legal in US, but public won't bite
Sat Feb 16, 2013
The most shocking thing in this article is this line which seems to indicate that Congress actually DID something in 2011: "In November 2011, Congress quietly lifted a five-year ban on funding for horse processing inspections." So the 112th actually managed to pass something! Too bad they couldn't …
Folic acid in pregnancy may reduce autism risk
Tue Feb 12, 2013
This is not a very definitive study. Only 0.21% of one population had autism and 0.1% of the other. It is margin of error stuff.

What's the deal with the pop-over ad? Is it just me or is there a really annoying pop-over ad that blocks part of the article? Not cool.
Neanderthals died out earlier than thought, new testing finds
Mon Feb 4, 2013
My favorite line is: "There might have been Neanderthals or modern humans or both or neither" So your saying that you know nothing about anything -- why did you make us read this article? Seriously though, obviously humans and neanderthals coexisted since we shared DNA.
Too fat for TV? Anchor fires back at critic; outpouring ensues
Tue Oct 2, 2012
I don't think pointing out that she is overweight is really that big of a deal. But saying that overweight people shouldn't be on TV is just wrong. I want smart, talented, capable people to anchor the news, and she fits that description perfectly.
New material could lead to thin, flexible, wall-sized TVs
Fri Aug 24, 2012
I don't get what the big deal is. People have been making MoS2 coatings via sputtering for low COF applications for years.
Meet Siri, your personal iPhone assistant

I like google voice search for finding telephone numbers on my Android. Its the fastest way to get a phone number. Try thumbling through a text search for "szechuan inn chinese restuarant havre-de-grasse MD" and then voice search it and then tell me voice search isn't easier.
What do you think of self-checkout lanes?
Fri Jul 8, 2011
Self-checkout lanes are less efficient than standard lanes with a well trained cashier. The result is you need more lanes.
